When I arrived in Spain, I was desperate for conscious brands, making their garments in Spain. So I tried to find one that would resonate with me and my personality. Until I notices something..
Why Conscious Brands are Usually Serious… Seriously?
One question rose: why are conscious brands often as serious as a librarian during a quiet hour? There was a moment I longed for a funnier approach, even more relatable. We care for the environment and for one another, although it doesn’t mean that we can’t have a laugh in the meantime.
Most brands are like the eco-warriors of the business world, battling against the forces of environmental destruction with their mighty recycled paper swords. They take sustainability so seriously that even their office plants have their own personalized water conservation plans.
There was a moment I also considered, to hell sustainability, I want to be proud of the clothes I wear (not only because I try to be a good fellow Earther).
When they’re not busy planting trees or rescuing puppies, conscious brands are out there changing the world, one hashtag at a time. They’re as serious about social responsibility as your mom is about making sure you wear clean underwear in case you get into an accident.
Forget boring lectures and PowerPoint presentations; conscious brands are here to make learning about sustainability as fun as binge-watching cat videos. They’re like the cool teachers who let you play with slime in science class, except instead of slime, it’s compost.
So, there you have it. Conscious brands may be serious, but behind those bamboo sunglasses and recycled denim jackets, there’s a whole lot of passion, purpose, and yes, even a hint of humor.
Obviously, you (and I) would have to fit the clothes they offer but that’s another topic. I guess this search was the beginning of Fitia: a fun and sustainable swimwear brand. Even during the campaign, silly faces are more than welcome.
Because saving the planet is no joke, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun along the way, right?
